I’m just a broke down retired cop. What do I know? I know that in the dozen or so federal gun cases I filed none of the defendants qualified for parole or probation. In fact, the AUSA handling the prosecution would caution me. Back then, once the gun case was filed there was no probation, no parole and no dismissing the case. Conviction meant prison, day for day, no good time, no concurrent sentence.

The only difference I see between my defendants and Hunter is that all but one of my defendants was black.

What we need is more gun laws. The one applied to Hunter Biden is apparently broken.
