Kentucky cops have finally identified the remains of a fugitive rapist after 25 years. He was found at the bottom of a lake wrapped in tire chains attached to a hydraulic jack.

A set of human remains that fishermen found “wrapped in heavy tire chains and anchored with a hydraulic jack” in a lake in Kentucky nearly 25 years ago has been identified as belonging to an FBI fugitive, state police have revealed.

The moral of the story is obvious. When escaping with stolen chains and a hydraulic jack, swimming as a means of escape is contraindicated.
