Trump announced that US Special Forces took out Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi in a raid. Nancy is pissed because they didn’t tell her a head of time. There is a simple explanation, Trump didn’t want the enemy to know in advance. Above is a description of the raid.
The press is trying to gin up controversy because there was apparently coordination between US and Russian military in the area. Without coordination there was a potential for a confrontation between Russia and US forces. Here is an exchange between Chris Wallace and Trump.
Wallace said, “The president was asked specifically whether he had informed the Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi about this raid last night, and he said no and then he added I wanted to make sure that no American forces were lost. The implication seeming to be that he was worried that Pelosi or members of Congress would leak this. Does the president not trust the Speaker of the House with sensitive national security information?”

Aside from the democrats, ISIS is no body’s friend. The Russians realize this. They have a vested interest in making the raid a success. They also have guns, anti-aircraft and missiles covering the approach to the target. It is prudent to give them a heads up. All Nancy has is mouth.
A successful raid does Pelosi no favors. A failure is more desirable to her than taking out a potential ally of the democrats. The term is “operational security.” The idea is to keep information away from those that would leak it for their own purposes.
