Here is a story that validates guy stuff. It is not conducive to good health to try and suppress a fart. In fact, holding a fart may backfire. The gas buildup may back up into the gut. Flash back to when you were a kid. Do you recall calling a sandlot friend “Fart-Breath?” Turns out you were right, the noxious odor, once in the gut, can be absorbed into the blood and then expelled through the lungs. This re-introduces a concept that has fallen out of common usage. I don’t know why.
