Somewhere between a report and a rumor is a story regarding a gun used in the Paris terrorist attack.  It apparently was originally purchased in Phoenix, Arizona and was tracked by ATF during the time of the “Fast and Furious Investigation”.

There are a whole lot of gaps being filled with speculation, which isn’t particularly helpful.  ATF can track a gun from manufacturer or importer to wholesaler, wholesaler to retailer and retailer to first purchaser.  Theoretically if the purchaser used the services of a licensed gun dealer to subsequently sell the gun the record keeping would continue.

ATF also tracks guns that come into the possession or become part of an investigation.  The original purchaser was the subject of an investigation for possession of a full automatic weapon.  It was noted that this individual had previously purchased the Paris weapon.

I don’t know that this is enough to implicate Fast and Furious, but it is curious.
