This silly shit has been tried in other Texas cities. One city Harker Heights voted for a similar package. The City Council invalidated the proposed amendment as being in conflict with state law and unenforceable. For a group dedicated to “justice” the supporters of the ballot initiative sure play fast and loose with the law.
