Nomination For a Hero Badge

Compare and contrast, pictured on the left is Joe Bonanno. aka “Joey Bananas” once the youngest head of a Mafia family, one of the five families in New York. The FBI never laid a glove on him as far as significant criminal charges go. On the right is Cameron Peterson a wanna be terrorist from New Braunfels, Texas. The FBI snatched his ass up. He’s looking at ten years in Federal prison, after pleading guilty.

A more complete story is below.

Cameron made two attempts to buy guns so that he could go out and conduct a mass shooting. He was unsuccessful. He didn’t get the guns. He didn’t shoot anybody. Mostly, he talked about it. He apparently took steps in furtherance of his goal and that was the hook the FBI needed.

So, what? I have no sympathy for Cameron Peterson. By the time he gets out of prison he will be able to work for VIA. The bus company will be able to park buses up his ass and never touch the side. Bonanno, on the other hand died as a millionaire and free man after committing felonies for fifty years and writing a book about his exploits.

The Indians (feather not dot) believe a warrior measures his worth by the enemies he defeats.

FBI, measuring their worth by the enemies they defeat? The legend continues.
