Update: South Carolina executes Richard Moore despite broadly supported plea to cut sentence to life on Friday, November 1, 2024.
Liberals in South Carolina have got their panties in a wad because the state is fixing to execute an asshole who, murdered a store clerk in 1999. He is finally going to get what the jury mandated all those years ago. The usual excuses just don’t work in his case. He was not unjustly convicted. He isn’t retarded. Apparently, there is no history of drug, alcohol or bicycle seat sniffing abuse (at least they didn’t bring that up). So, what are they hanging their hat on to justify clemency? The condemned killer has mentored other inmates. Welcome to the land of liberal speak, up is down, black is white, and boys will be girls. Somebody provide these idiots with a dictionary!

For those readers too lazy to look it up, here is the definition of mentor:
mentor
a person who gives a younger or less experienced person help and advice over a period of time, especially at work or school
Cambridge Dictionary
Use mentor in a sentence. A condemned killer whose work experience consists of robbery and murder is mentoring other, younger inmates, convicted felons all. Seems like it is time to break the cycle and take this mentor off the board. To put a positive spin on things, strapping his ass down in the electric chair so that he can “ride the lightning,” will be his last act of mentorship to his students.
Call me a hardass but the twenty plus years he has spent in prison is not punishment. The jury set the punishment, death. Up until the time he is executed, he will have remained unpunished. Without frivolous appeals he could have got out of prison a lot sooner. Course he would have left in a horizontal position.
