How is this for a New Year’s resolution; dump Facebook. I’m not talking a boycott or engaging in a letter writing campaign. Cancel your subscription and walk away.

Want to keep in touch with whoever, take a little effort. You can achieve the same effect and be more personalized by going to your mailbox and creating mail lists. Facebook doesn’t exist to enhance your ability to communicate with friends and family. It exists to make money. Take it away.

Facebook objected to a public declaration of support for a police officer killed in the line of duty. Is this the type of operation that deserves your support and money? Do you really want them monitoring your Internet transactions?

There was life before facebook and there damn sure is after. Try it.
