The Whole World is Watching

Debbie Wasserman Schultz resigns

Sometimes you do get a second bite at the apple.  The Democrat nominee for President who ought to be known as U.S.Bureau of Prisons inmate #01812 and her apologists has got some ‘splaining to do.  You won’t find this on any MSM site.  Let me recap.

As Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton knowingly and intentionally subverted computer security protocols for her own purposes.  During her tenure as Secretary of State she transmitted or caused to be transmitted classified information through unsecured Internet connections in violation of Federal Law and employment agreements with the government. Investigation revealed multiple instances of secret and top secret information that were transmitted in a non secure fashion. Investigators suspect that this information was intercepted by both friendly and unfriendly governments, revealing U.S. intentions, means and methods for obtaining classified material.

Hillary defenders said there was no damage to U.S. interests.  The secrets weren’t really secret and even if they were secret they were just kinda secret. Besides it wasn’t like Benghazi where people were killed  like there was any fall out. The problem is, unless one possesses a Top Secret Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and has a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) there is no way to prove or disprove the charges.  Instead, a citizen has to rely on government agencies to provide the answer.

The question was put to the FBI and after an extensive investigation, the FBI had an answer.  A little man, a mere bureaucratic functionary is the head of the FBI.  He reviewed the investigation and concluded, he wasn’t enough of a man to do the right thing. He announced that fact, gave Hillary a bye, and stole off, back into obscurity.

The question was destined to languish out there with such stunners as “How many angels can dance on the head of a pin? and Who shot JR?”

Then a funny thing happened, the e-mail theft thing happened again. Only this time it happened to the Democratic National Committee (DNC) and while the DNC may have considered the information secret, the U.S. Intelligence establishment has not been co-opted to the point that they are assigning legally binding security classifications to DNC e-mails. HINT: look for allegations of theft of trade secrets or intellectual property in coming days. All of the e-mails have been downloaded to a site maintained by Wikipedia and are readily accessible. So what?

The late Dr. Michael Crichton offered the following advice to readers. (I’m paraphrasing because I’m too lazy to look it up.) Find a topic where you consider yourself to be a subject matter expert. Now find a story within your area of expertise in the target rag.  How accurate is the story?  Are assertions of fact supported?  This should help you establish a baseline for reading all the articles.  If the paper writes crap about stuff you know, why would you believe they got it right some where else?

We don’t know the content of Hillary’s e-mails other than the fact some of them were classified.

The content of the DNC e-mails is available here https://wikileaks.org/dnc-emails/

Hillary defenders say there is no evidence that foreign governments obtained Hillary’s e-mails.  It is axiomatic that intelligence services try not to reveal what they know.  To do otherwise revels at least two things that they would prefer to keep to themselves. (1) Identifying the material can lead to the source of the material. (2) Known deficiencies can be corrected. When a breach is discovered the intelligence agency has to change everything because there is no way to separate the compromised from the uncompromised.

We don’t know what fallout resulted from the leak of Hillary’s e-mails. Governments tend to keep information like that secret in order to limit damage.

DNC Chair Debbie whatever resigns as chairperson within 48 hours of revelation on the eve of the DNC convention.  Don’t care who you are that is major fallout.

The perception is that the whole process put together by the DNC was geared to help Hillary to the detriment of Sanders.

The convention was supposed to give the Democratic Presidential Candidate an air of legitimacy, instead just the opposite is a happening. Let the riots begin.
