Progressive Fascists or Fascist Progressives?

Alan Dershowitz is a tease.  Professor Dershowitz is a bright guy and every once and a while he will start a bump and grind routine that has conservatives sit up and take notice. The retired Harvard Law Professor was interviewed by Meagan Kelly last night.  During the interview he pointed out the similarities between the protests of today and the book burnings in Germany of the 1930’s. Just when you thought that all would be revealed, he segue ways to Joe McCarthy.  Once again a crowd prepared for a glimpse of pasties is subjected to the harsh glare of the house lights.

Alan, it is okay to acknowledge that your tradition of liberal thought has been hijacked by Fascists who are nobody’s friend, whatever their affiliation.  You have lectured on and on about freedom of the press, association, speech and religion when there was no specific threat.  Now, that a real threat is on the horizon, is the time to stand tall and expound on those principles you say you stand for and not get all mealy mouthed. A transcript of the interview follows.

Alan Dershowitz almost gets it.
