Horns of a Dilemna

I started thinking about the Bobcat that ran away from home at the Washington D.C. Zoo. Then a friend brought up this whole Hollywood succession movement, and that seemed to fit. Because that’s they way my mind works I saw a moral for the Black Lives Matter Movement (BLM) all under the same theme.

The bobcat escaped from the Washington D.C. ZOO. For those of you who don’t know the bobcat is native to America.  D.C. is well within its traditional range. Here is a picture of the bobcat top right, she probably weighs in at about15-20 pounds and poses no danger to humans.

After two days on the run, some Zoo patrons observed Ollie, the Bobcat crossing a walkway near where her enclosure is located. They notified Zoo staff who responded with a live trap and tidbits to tickle a bobcat’s fancy. Ollie had the good grace not to run over the keeper in her rush to get the food. The ZOO claims they recaptured her. I say it was an unconditional surrender.

Next, we have the case for California to Secede from the Union. Secession is what states do when they don’t feel like playing nice with others, anymore. It is akin to taking your ball and going home. It doesn’t have the same impact when nobody notices or cares when you leave.

Assuming they overcome that obstacle when California secedes:

California and Black Lives Matter (BLM) have the same problem. They have failed to consider secession is a unilateral act. It may become universally acceptable, but that is down the road. In the meantime, the sovereign continues to levy taxes, provide services (whether wanted or not) and expect debt payments. The Border will be patrolled, the Navy will be sailing off the Coast, the Air Force will be in the Air and California will get the bill. These things can be done with no infrastructure within the state.

With no operating infrastructure in the state the United States will not pay Medicare/Medicaid, welfare, AFDIC, and Student Loans. The state that secedes loses claim to assets, rights, freedom, taxes and property. Let me state that in a slightly different, manner for the BLM crowd, NO MORE FREE SHIT.

The United States gains all of the electricity generating capacity of the Colorado River and power plants located outside California selling electricity to California. The same holds true for Colorado River water rights. Existing agreements are with the State of California not the newly formed nation of BOHICA (Bend over here it comes again). Only Texas generates and meets its electrical demand.

Like the Bobcat discovered, freedom is a great concept but it is not for everybody.  Three hots and a cot for doing nothing but standing around and letting people stare at you is pretty alluring. After doing the same thing for sixty years I don’t think the BLM crowd is suited for anything else.

The Hollywood crowd seems to forget if it wasn’t for screenwriters putting words in their mouths they would be in the same position as the cat and BLM thugs on the street corner. Something to stare at but nothing one would interact with willingly. Repeating the lines they were given makes actors and actresses seem intelligent. Most of them can convince the public within thirty seconds that appearing intelligent and being intelligent are two entirely separate issues.
