It seems a New York group wants to ban Nerf guns. They claim Hasbro is manufacturing assault weapon toys. While they are at it, they ought to have a go at Pop Tarts. Who can forget?
Guess the mindset that goes after Nerf guns would take a dim view of Snoopy. After all, Snoopy pretended his doghouse was a Sopwith Camel. The Sopwith Camel was a WWI airplane used by the allies against the dreaded Huns. As such, the airplane and by extension Snoopy’s doghouse, are implements of war.
All is not lost. The anti-nerf crowd can point to one incident where a nerf gun was used in an assault. I documented the incident in the following blog entry.
