Compare and Contrast

I maintain that one of the greatest management texts ever written is Joseph Heller’s CATCH-22. But for the fact that Joseph Heller has been dead for over 20 years, I’d swear he was a speech writer for Kamel Toe Harris.

In Catch-22 the protagonist, Yossarian gets in a fight with another character, Affy. He turns to his roommate Orr in a search for an explanation for why Affy is the way he is. Orr provides the explanation.

“Because he’s got flies in his eyes,” Orr explained with exaggerated patience. “How can he see he’s got flies in his eyes if he’s got flies in his eyes?”
