The MSM does it again! There are reports that a racing pigeon from Alabama made the 8000 mile journey across the Pacific. In recognition of the feat Australian authorities want to kill it. It is an illegal alien.

There are just a couple of things wrong with the story. Depending on which story one reads the band on the pigeon identifies the bird. The American Racing Pigeon Union says the bird is from Alabama and disappeared from a race begun in Oregon. Or according to the same organization the band is a forgery making the identification suspect.

A second problem is that experts don’t believe the bird made the flight. Experts suspect the bold bird hitched a ride on a cargo ship to cross the Pacific, a feat that has attracted the attention of media, as well as quarantine officials, Down Under.

Just another example of, “don’t let the facts get in the way of a good story.”
