As I cruise the Internet looking for suitable photos for “Girls With Guns” it quickly becomes obvious the girls and guns photos probably tell us more about the male psyche than the female.  It becomes obvious that most of the models have probably never fired the guns they are holding.

So I thought I show some examples of those that probably know their was around the weapons. The picture on the left is of three tribal women, no fingers poised on triggers but rather casual in controlling where the gun points.  Second is the obligatory Israeli girls afternoon out, each with an M-4 slung.  Does this gun make my butt look big? and Finally, an unknown soldier, I’m guessing Kurd or Arab Christian relaxing.

As a cop, it was easy for me to scan a crowd and figure out who was carrying a pistol.  The inexperienced pistol shooter was constantly tugging at clothing, patting at a hip, kicking an ankle to reassure oneself that the gun gremlins had not snuck up and stolen the piece.

I could identify a gunmaker based on the impression the gun butt made on the covering jacket.  These pictures are not about concealment but say a lot about body language. From that body language you can conclude that these women carried their own guns to the photo shoot and will carry them away.
