Kennedy’s message was simple. He proposed an unabashed quid pro quo. Kennedy would lend Andropov, a hand in dealing with President Reagan. In return, the Soviet leader would lend the Democratic Party a hand in challenging Reagan in the 1984 presidential election.
Let’s hold a hearing on Teddy’s antics with aimed at achieving the following goals:
- Identifying Kennedy for what he was, a traitor.
- Immediate cessation of payment of any retirement funds or survivor’s benefits with the residual to go to the Government.
- Exhumation of the Senator’s body from Arlington National Cemetary with reburial to follow at an anonymous crossroads in an unmarked grave.
- Removal of his name and likeness from all statutes, memorials, plaques, and other representations from all government buildings either owned, leased, or maintained with U.S. Government funds.
- Removal of Teddy Kennedy’s name from Senate records and the establishment of a fine schedule to be levied on members of Congress for uttering that name in any context.
- In recognition of Teddy Kennedy’s long association with the people of Massachusetts and the keen interest, he displayed in the topic.
