I can recall the events surrounding Nixon’s resignation called Watergate and Ford’s subsequent pardon of Nixon.  By the time Richard Nixon resigned I’m not sure he had a friend in the world. Even Nixon’s Irish Setter King Timahoe claimed he was with the First Lady when they went for walks.

The House of Representatives had hearings and recommended Articles of Impeachment, but Nixon resigned prior to the vote. The case was made, but we will never know how solid it was. Nixon was found guilty in the court of public opinion and we all know how low that standard is. Using the Articles of Impeachment as a yardstick, President Ford decided to issue a pardon.

Now irony of ironies a young attorney who was fired from the Watergate investigation because of dishonestly, finds herself at the center of a scandal surrounding her attempt to gain the Presidency in 2016. The dishonesty she exhibited during Watergate had expanded on an unprecedent`ed scale. Who says people don’t learn from their mistakes?

There is a difference though, Nixon had been the target of numerous investigations. “The Washington Post” had Woodward and Bernstein and “Deep Throat”. There was a Special Prosecutor, House Committees and the FBI. With Hillary there was no”Deep Throat” not even a “Spit or Swallow.” The Justice Department was mounting a spirited defense, House Democrats were busier than a beer vendor at a lynching, trying to keep the facts from coming to light and the FBI was unable to define negligence. The only person shining a light on the whole sorted affair was a lonely pervert, armed not with a light but a flaccid penis and a laptop computer. He didn’t set out to be a hero, he just wanted someone, preferably around the age of fifteen, to look at him and his very most favorite toy.

So without an investigation to speak of, with very little evidence exposed to public view, with no indication that the Department of Justice will ever convene a Grand Jury and no charges pending, the pundits, her friends and supporters are calling on “The One” to issue a pardon. Obama should pardon Hillary Clinton; Jesse Jackson,

I am not a lawyer. I am just a broke down old narc. I know from writing numerous search warrants and criminal complaints that courts demanded some specificity in describing the place to be searched, the item to be seized, the person who controlled the activity and the criminal violation suspected. I could be wrong, in fact I hope somebody will correct me, but the best I can come up for at this point reads something like this:

Please excuse Hillary Clinton for all the illegal shit she has done beginning in July 1974 and continuing until January 20, 2017. She says she is sorry and won’t do it again.

It strikes me that this speaks so very badly for anybody that can spell liberal or democrat. First there is projection, the automatic assumption that a political rival would ignore the law, rules of evidence, the Constitution, or ethics for political payback. Second, based on very little evidence they apparently have concluded whatever charge was to come about; she did it or would do it if she thought about it. Third, there is no crime that she or BJ Bill the serial rapist, can commit that would justify criminal sanctions.

Thanksgiving is coming keep this in mind as you make out your guest list, I see no reason to forgive or forget.
