De Blasio Argues Cops Should Confront New Yorkers Accused of Non-Criminal ‘Hurtful’ Conduct

Some things never change. Mayor De Blasio wants the NYPD to enforce his version of social order without regard to the law. Here is his quote. Sounds harmless. Now let me put it into context.

“The NYPD is a great example: one of the things officers are trained to do is to give warnings,” de Blasio said. “If someone has done something wrong, but not rising to a criminal level, it’s perfectly appropriate for an NYPD officer to talk to them to say, ‘that was not appropriate, and if you did that on a higher level, that would be a crime.’ I think that has an educating impact on people.”

Mayor De Blasio

Democrats Have a Long History of Enforcing Social norms without regard to the law. Who can forget:

New Orleans Massacre of 1866

Newly emancipated slaves gather together for a post war Constitutional Convention. The democratic establishment decided that such a gathering was “hurtful”, although not criminal. Police and white supremist members attacked the Convention. Forty members were killed.

Coushatta Massacre 1874

Another example of democrat tolerance is exemplified by the Coushatta Massacre in 1874. The exercise of political rights was deemed “hurtful” by the democratic establishment. A (local) government sponsored paramilitary organization called the “White League” only killed five white men and six black men in this exercise of promoting social order.

That’s all ancient history. It would never happen now. Black students and the 82nd Airborne Division attend school in Little Rock. The 82nd was necessary because the democrat Governor Faubus decided it was “hurtful” to allow black students to attend school with white students.

Now a musical interlude celebrating democrat Governor Faubus that celebrated civil rights icon.

You can’t have one without the other. Here is Billy Holiday. Probably hate speech these days.

Billie Holiday, “Strange Fruit”, 1939

The history of democrat engineering of socially acceptable behavior, contrary to the law marches on.

Well, at least nobody died.

That wasn’t the case in Mississippi in 1964.

Before the movie there was the deed.

In 1964 three civil rights workers, two Jewish, one black went missing in Jessup, Mississippi. They were in Mississippi to register black voters. This action went against established social order and was considered “hurtful” by the locals. Local law enforcement followed the model later advocated by De Blasio and murdered the three men.

There really is no lower form of life than a democrat. I’m not inclusive. I discriminate. democrats seem to fall into two camps. They either have absolutely no scruples and will say or do anything that contributes to their quest for power. The other side of the coin is that that they are so incredibly stupid they will accept, without question anything their betters have to say.

Does De Blasio’s Comment Still Sound Like a Good Idea?
