Stories That the MSM Forgot

This story isn’t particularly noteworthy. A convicted felon, out on bond decides to pay a former girlfriend a visit. He packs his “9” and heads to her house. She isn’t home. Not a problem, he breaks in to wait for her. Her brother discovers the suspect and during a struggle shoots the former boyfriend. Here’s the story.

Man shot with own gun after breaking into apartment, sheriff says

Deputies called to Oak Ridge Apartments in Warren County

VICKSBURG, Miss. —

The Warren County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a fatal shooting.

Deputies were called about 8 a.m. Monday to Oak Ridge Apartment on Blossom Lane, where a man had been shot, Sheriff Martin Pace said.

A 19-year-old came home from work and noticed the back door was unsecured. About that time, a man with a gun came out of one of the bedrooms,” Pace said.

The man, who was 28 years old, previously had been in a relationship with a relative of the 19-year-old resident, Pace said.

The men struggled over the gun and the 28-year-old intruder was shot, Pace said. He was taken to Merit Health River Region where he was pronounced dead.

No charges have been filed. The case will go to a grand jury, Pace said.

The names of those involved have not been released.

With a little tweaking to fit the narrative, this could be a story worthy of MSM treatment. Here’s a quick rewrite.

Local Man Shot During Domestic Disturbance

A local man waiting for his girlfriend was attacked by her enraged brother. During the melee, the brother stole a pistol and turned it on the former paramour. He was shot repeatedly and died on the way to the hospital.

The deceased had recently turned his life around. According to family members, he was a good little boy twenty years ago. His multiple felony convictions were just youthful indiscretions. He was on his way to turn the pistol in at the local gun buy back program, before going to church.

Now it is a suitable story for all audiences. The fact that it in no way relates the facts is entirely immaterial.
