Just in time for Christmas my latest novel is going live on Amazon, for Kindle. It is called Sam Hendricks’ Last Ride, The UNIT. Sam Hendricks is the name Chris Gentry used when he rode with the Devils Scalawags, an 1% motorcycle gang. The night before he was to be initiated into the gang, as a full member, the Chief of Police ended his undercover assignment. Although his work led to numerous indictments of Devils Scalawags, Gentry was left with a sense that the job was left undone. Five years later, now in charge of a narcotics task force called the UNIT, Gentry gets a second chance to take on the Devils Scalawags.
This is the sequel to my first novel, THE UNIT, Into the Briar Patch. It isn’t necessary to read the books in order. However, it is always helpful to begin at the beginning. Besides, I could use the money. The stories fall into the category of police procedural. Where they differ from a typical procedural is that the author is a retired cop who spent fifteen years attached to a narcotics task force. This is a work of fiction, colored by the experience of a working cop.
