After Colorado father Chris Watts was arrested late on Aug. 15 for the murders of his pregnant wife and their young daughters, he was booked into the Weld County Jail — where he showed no emotion during the intake process, according to an investigative source at the time.
The murder of three people in Colorado made national news. Since the murder, the MSM has covered events surrounding the death of the Watts family on a daily basis. Why? I am going to be accused of being cold- hearted.
The reality is daddy twisted off, killed his family, disposed of the bodies and got arrested. He is in custody. He will never get out and therefore never have another family to slaughter. He represents no failure of the system or danger to the public. The end.
Liberals are the most prejudiced people one is liable to run across. The problem is that liberals are sometimes so subtle it is tough to identify their bias. They learned a lesson from the KKK. Burning a cross in a minority front yard is counter productive. Liberals are too sneaky to fall into that trap. Pay attention to the MSM, not for what they cover, but for what they don’t cover.
On the other hand, there is Stewart Weldon. He has been arrested twenty times in three states. Most charges were dismissed or consolidated to obtain a plea bargain. Had he been arrested in Texas, his sentences probably would have been measured in decades. He was arrested in Massachusetts, so his time amounted to months.
He took advantage of the rehabilitation that the Massachusetts prison system offered. At the time of his latest arrest, he had three fugitive warrants outstanding. He also had a rape victim that he kidnapped and held for a month.
A prior complaint from his mother about a foul odor at his house did not raise any red flags. It was only after his kidnapping arrest that police followed up. The body count is three and could go higher. Where is the national coverage from the MSM? Crickets. Weldon and his victims are people of color. No story here.
Kermit Gosnell, a Pennsylvania physician is liable to be one of the most prolific serial murders in custody. The New York Times dismissed the Gosnell story as being a local story with no national interest. Most of Gosnell’s victims were poor women of color. Nothing to see here, move along. Defenders of the MSM will point out the national coverage of black men killed by police. They will assert that this is an indication that I am wrong. Black Lives Matter (BLM) has nothing to do with dead black thugs and everything to do with an attempt to alienate a segment of society. The reporting isn’t about the dearly departed. It is directed at undermining the confidence and faith the community has in the police and criminal justice system.
