A teenager was arrested after he posted a video to social media of himself committing a robbery, San Antonio police said.

Jesse Garcia, 17, was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of robbery.

According to his arrest affidavit, Garcia approached a 14-year-old boy outside his home on July 21 and demanded his clothing.

Garcia punched the boy in the face before he began pulling the boy’s clothes and shoes off him, police said. He and another suspect ran away with the stolen property, according to his arrest affidavit.

Police said Garcia recorded the robbery on his phone and posted it to social media. Investigators obtained the video, which backed up the robbery victim’s account of the incident, according to the affidavit.

Garcia was arrested on a $20,000 bond, according to jail records.

Bad is good. Good is a cop-out. Respect has nothing to do with achievement. Once you get your mind around these concepts then recording and posting a video on social media makes sense. It is likely this wasn’t about stealing. The object was to humiliate the victim and demonstrate to his vatos that he is worthy of respect. Unfortunately, going to jail just enhances this idiots standing in his peer group.
