Other Than That

I guess I’m too cynical for my own good. Some country star that I’ve never heard of found a dead guy while out for an early morning jog. He reported it to the police. Then he jumped on Twitter to report it to a small circle of followers. On and on about how traumatic it was for him. Think about how the dead guy felt….

The only saving grace for this guy was that he recognized that while to situation was unique to him, there were others that dealt with such issues on a frequent basis. The other plus is that he didn’t post any selfies.

“Not the way I planned on closing out 2020. This will be an image & moment I’ll never forget. I need to shoutout first responders & our military that look death in the eye every day, and are able to continue to live their everyday lives,” he tweeted.

Like most Cops, I have willingly gone into places that most people would refuse to go. I don’t require that these innocents join me in these forays. It would be enough for these folks to recognize places like that exist and that somebody has to go where angels fear to tread.
