Cops These Days
I’m being crotchety but there is an element of truth in my assertion. A Kansas police chief has been arrested for Internet Trading of Child Porn (ten counts) and twenty-four counts of child sexual exploitation. A one off? Unfortunately, I think he possesses the traits that are considered desirable in a modern police chief. Those qualities would be, shameless self-promotion, a grandiose view of self and absolutely no morals or scruples.
The Internet media deserves a shot also. This perverted chief is described as famous because of his Internet police antics. The town he policed has a population of 250. I suspect that he ran a one-man department. Fame is a relative term.
I have worked with and know some excellent police chiefs. Unfortunately, I have also worked with a couple of chiefs that would fall below this clown on the disreputable scale.
