Liberals Are Always Wrong

I maintain that liberals are always wrong. Yeah, I know one should not make absolute statements because a blanket statement fails to anticipate every eventuality. But in this case I rely on something my third grade teacher told me in math class. “Show your work, it is not enough to get a right answer, without showing your work.”

Throwing milkshakes at people

There is a trend developing where protesters throw milkshakes at people who attract their ire. This is wrong. According to Power Line’s Steven Hayward, Richard Samuelson agrees with me. I have no idea who Richard Samuelson is. From the context of his statement, I think it is safe to conclude he is a liberal.

So my assertion has been proven wrong. A liberal and I are in agreement. There are two possible conclusions. The liberal is wrong and therefore so am I. I’m never wrong. I thought I was, once, but….

Like a blind hog finding an acorn, a liberal occasionally hits on a correct answer. Hold your applause, here is where my third grade teacher’s admonition rears its ugly head.

Show Your Work

The basis for my holding that throwing milkshakes at people is wrong has its roots in both moral and legal philosophy. It is based, in part on the “Golden Rule”:

“One should treat others as one would like others to treat oneself.”

I could point to the First Amendment of the Bill of Rights that guarantee the freedom of speech and association.

If that isn’t good enough I would rely on both the common and statutory law that holds throwing a milkshake at a person constitutes an assault.

None of these arguments seemed to have occurred to Mr. Samuelson. He says throwing milkshakes at people is wrong because:

Meanwhile, speaking of milkshakes, and the left’s favored new antic of throwing them at people they don’t like, Richard Samuelson alerts us to the argument that will surely stop this trend cold: It’s bad for the climate!

Avoiding meat and
dairy products is the single biggest way to reduce your environmental impact on the planet, according to the scientists behind the most comprehensive analysis to date of the damage farming does to the planet.

Save the planet! Stop “milkshaking”!
