Help Wanted

Two upstanding citizens attempted to hijack a garbage truck. The driver, who was licensed to carry a handgun resisted. When the smoke cleared, one suspect was DRT (dead right there) and the other was critically injured. Other than persistent ringing in his ears the truck driver was unhurt.

The City of Chicago Department of Streets and Sanitation are seeking experienced turret gunners to join our fleet of garbage trucks. If you liked Fallujah, you’re gonna love Chicago!

This falls in the WTF? category. Two questions come to mind. Who would think it was a good idea to hijack a garbage truck? That question is obvious. But did you snap to the not so obvious question? Who decided that it was necessary to arm the garbage truck driver to protect his load? The article does not identify the hijackers, but then again given the target is it necessary?
