She is carrying an AR 10. The AR 10 was originally chambered in 308 caliber and is the big brother of the AR-15. AS a student she couldn’t carry her rifle on campus.

The last time the 308 was prominent on campus was May 4, 1970 when the National Guard showed up with their M-14 rifles.
