Wanna Be Mass Shooter Busted

This little shit attends my old high school in Daytona Beach, Florida, Seabreeze, “Go Sandcrabs.” This incident is a good news bad news type of story.

Here is the video of the arrest.

I See a Number of Takeaways From This Incident.

  • He made the threat on a video game site. His fellow gamers called him on his threats and reported him to the FBI.
  • His mother refuses to accept that her son’s behavior was criminal or worthy of law enforcement attention.
  • What I call the: “Look at me I’ve got shit in my hair!” behavior was not ignored or dismissed as a celebration of diversity.
  • I am not sure how to describe the difference, but shouting “FIRE!” in a crowded theater is not the same as making stupid statements on a gaming sight.
  • Daddy is absent from the home.

This is the second arrest in Volusia County for wanna be mass shooters. The other was an idiot that dreamed of making the longest kill shot ever… with a .22 rifle.

I am comfortable with putting idiots like these two under the jail. That is provided the offending statement is coupled with an overt act. That does not seem to be the case, in either of these incidents. What did happen is two idiots made threatening statements to third parties that caused a law enforcement response.

The investigation and subsequent arrest is more than warranted. Whether they will be convicted or even charged with the original booking charge remains to be seen. It seems the message is getting out, tolerance for bullshit statements and posturing is ebbing.

The good news these two are in the system.
