There is a protest going on at UT, Austin right now that demonstrates yet once again, that liberals and anti gun nuts don’t know what they are talking about. The movement is handing out dildos to all those with no semblance of self respect. The alleged purpose to show their disapproval of the state law that recently took effect, allowing licensed individuals to carry handguns on campus. They are calling it “Cocks instead of Glocks.” I guess dildos are non violent.
The funny thing is both Glocks and dildos, given the right context, can be considered deadly weapons under the Texas Penal Code.
Texas Penal Code 1.07 Definitions:
(17) “Deadly weapon” means:
(A) a firearm or anything manifestly designed, made, or adapted for the purpose of inflicting death or serious bodily injury; or
(B) anything that in the manner of its use or intended use is capable of causing death or serious bodily injury.
Now consider Carolee Bildsten_stiffs_joes_c.php. Carolee attempted to attack a sheriff’s deputy armed with a dildo. She landed in jail charged with aggravated assault. She ran a foul of 17(B). Dildo beatings are a staple of “The Smoking Gun”
I am not going to comment on the obscene device aspect of dildos. I believe that a dildo can and has been used as a weapon with deadly intent. A single dildo wielded in the fashion proposed by protesters is not an obscene device and therefore is not contraband. However, in the interests of free speech a protester armed with a dildo, doesn’t have a bitch coming when a guy on the bus claims his is bigger and offers to prove it. Likewise the young matron who pulls her three year old away from the “dirty little slut” standing in the checkout line at the supermarket. After all the dildo is there to spur debate.
