Based on the statement and actions of the Director of the FBI, I felt it incumbent upon me to follow the advice on the FBI website and report him as a suspect in the following crimes:
Whoever, having knowledge of the actual commission of a felony cognizable by a court of the United States, conceals and does not as soon as possible make known the same to some judge or other person in civil or military authority under the United States, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than three years, or both.
2. U.S. Code › Title 18 › Part I › Chapter 37 › § 798
(a)Whoever knowingly and willfully communicates, furnishes, transmits, or otherwise makes available to an unauthorized person, or publishes, or uses in any manner prejudicial to the safety or interest of the United States or for the benefit of any foreign government to the detriment of the United States any classified information—
(3)concerning the communication intelligence activities of the United States or any foreign government; or
Shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than ten years, or both.
3. U.S. Code › Title 18 › Part I › Chapter 101 › § 2071
(a) Whoever willfully and unlawfully conceals, removes, mutilates, obliterates, or destroys, or attempts to do so, or, with intent to do so takes and carries away any record, proceeding, map, book, paper, document, or other thing, filed or deposited with any clerk or officer of any court of the United States, or in any public office, or with any judicial or public officer of the United States, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than three years, or both.
(b)Whoever, having the custody of any such record, proceeding, map, book, document, paper, or other thing, willfully and unlawfully conceals, removes, mutilates, obliterates, falsifies, or destroys the same, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than three years, or both; and shall forfeit his office and be disqualified from holding any office under the United States. As used in this subsection, the term “office” does not include the office held by any person as a retired officer of the Armed Forces of the United States.
I have faith that the Bureau can locate this guy without resorting to the “Ten Most Wanted” list, but we’ll see. I’ll probably wind up getting arrested for making fun of the FBI.
