Furloughed government workers are lining up for free handouts. Thirty days with no pay and things are dire. One worker stated she was going to kill her cat because she couldn’t afford its medications. She blamed Trump.

I would be more sympathetic if these people were laid off with no prospects for employment. That is not the case, their jobs are still there and they will return to the their paychecks when the shutdown ends.

All of these sob stories should give one pause. These folks do not possess the basic ability to manage their own personal finances. Why would anybody want them managing government agencies and funds?
