The problem with zealots is that there is never a stopping point. A typical corrupt politician will slow down his stealing as the wealth accumulates. Not true, the zealot politician there is always another windmill on the horizon. After all, they know what is good for folks.
The Great Society was supposed to eliminate poverty when it was conceived in 1965, it didn’t work. Then again it was never intended to work. Remember the immortal words of President Lyndon Johnson.
