I guess anybody that has cooked brisket has thought about a building a substantial permanent pit. DON’T DO IT. The article below gives the best reason for using a barrel type pit. It’s portable!

Sure, I like hamburgers on grill. You can’t beat a steak cooked over a bed of hot coals. The problem is an hour later, you’re done. But for the shear joy of driving a vegan bat-shit crazy, you can’t beat a brisket, slow cooked for 12 to 14 hours on a pit. Don’t get me going about a rack and a the grill.

The added advantage of using a barrel cooker is that it is portable. Got vegans trotting thru the neighborhood? Move that sucker into the front yard.

I don’t really care that somebody crazier than a shithouse rat wants to eat vegetables. What I object to is when they start trying to dictate others.

I hear what you say vegans, it is an unjust world. It is not likely to change. It is time to make a bold statement. Punish the carnivores. Suicide is a viable option.
