When I was a kid it was a common misconception or convenient excuse that “good girls” didn’t actually have to bump uglies in order to become pregnant. Common culprits were toilet and bicycle seats. Japanese scientists have been sending each other postcards impregnated with mouse sperm. The deposit was reconstituted and baby mice resulted. No word on whether they have tried the technique on bicycle seats.
This gives new meaning to junk mail.
