Guys Who Can’t Get Laid and the Promise of 72 Virgins
The Air Force has created a briefing package that identifies a new terrorist threat. The claim is that guys who can’t get laid pose a threat to society. The Air Force has a term for such individuals.
The term “incel” is generally defined as: “…members of an online subculture who define themselves as unable to find a romantic or sexual partner despite desiring one, a state they describe as inceldom. Self-identified incels are largely white and are almost exclusively male heterosexuals. The term is a portmanteau of “involuntary celibates”.”
Another, simpler definition: men who can’t get laid.
Those who don’t recall history may think it strange that the Air Force is concerned with such a threat. To me it makes perfect sense. Recall, if you will, Dr Stangelove.
There is an apparent conflict.
So here it is. If guys don’t get laid they pose a threat to those around them. If they make an effort to get laid, then they may run afoul of the UCMJ for sexual harassment or conduct unbecoming. If they get laid, the threat to society is lessened. However, they may be useless to the service.
