Typical set up for lethal injection executions.  I’m guessing the straps are there to restrain prisoners not fully resigned to their fate. The alternative is that the straps ensure the condemned doesn’t fall and hurt himself. How do you explain the padding? I would consider it more than a little sarcastic if the last words from the warden are, ” Are you comfortable, can we get you a pillow?”

Always over thinking.  Is practicing sterile technique, during an execution giving false hope?  We don’t want you to get an infection… in the next five minutes or next week?  What are you trying to tell me? That’s just me, I guess.
