ANTIFA, Joseph Goebbels Would Be So Proud

Joseph Goebbels

RULE 12: Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.”
Cut off the support network and isolate the target from sympathy. Go after people and not institutions; people hurt faster than institutions. (This is cruel, but very effective. Direct, personalized criticism and ridicule works.)

ANTIFA and fellow travelers have taken it to the streets. They stalk people who they don’t agree with and engineer confrontations in public places. This is not an attempt to engage in debate. There is no intent to change minds. The object of the exercise is to silence anybody that opposes their point of view. This is not a new tactic. ANTIFA is following the play book developed by the spiritual mentor of the movement, Joseph Goebbels.

Tucker Carlson, or rather his wife was the recipient of the latest terrorist act. ANTIFA (Anti-fascist) is Fascist in word and deed. The tactics espoused and used by ANTIFA originated with the”Brown Shirts” of Nazi Germany. The Brown Shirts or SA were separate from the SS. The SA were wannabe Nazi’s who didn’t make the cut after the “Night of the Long Knives.”

This was probably due to the fact that many of the Brown Shirts began their political life as Communists. The communist presence within the SA ranks was so prevalent that they were referred to as Beefsteaks, brown on the outside but red inside.

There was no point in seeking to convert the intellectuals. For intellectuals would never be converted and would anyway always yield to the stronger, and this will always be “the man in the street.” Arguments must therefore be crude, clear and forcible, and appeal to emotions and instincts, not the intellect. Truth was unimportant and entirely subordinate to tactics and psychology.

Joseph Goebbels

“Undoubtedly street blockades and other forms of confrontational opposition can be very useful against any political opponent, but once far-right formations have managed to broadcast their xenophobic, dystopian platforms, it is incumbent upon us to drown them out with even better alternatives to the austerity and incompetence of the governing parties of the Right & Left.

On its own, militant anti-fascism is necessary but not sufficient to build a new world in the shell of the old.”

Mark Bray, Antifa: The Anti-Fascist Handbook

I honestly cannot empathize with Tucker Carlson’s wife at all — I agree that protesting at her house was tactically unwise and shouldn’t be done — but I am utterly unable to identify with her plight on any level. https://t.co/1YRAY8DuWC

There is a fine line between “free speech” and criminal conspiracy. Fire is a benign term until it is shouted in a crowded theater. When the words are accompanied by a mob armed with improvised weapons and threats to property and people, the line is crossed.

Matthew Yglesias has not crossed the line, no matter how reprehensible his remarks. However, I think he has crossed the line from being a disinterested journalist to acting like a fascist. He may not think of himself in the light, but Joseph Goebbels would recognize him right away.

What would happen if Yglesias were to make the same statement in regard to any number of left wing darlings?
