What happens when you try to be more inclusive and you take a sizable portion of your officers out the competition before it begins? Chief McManus decided to to let officers grow their beards for the month of November.  They have to pay a fee that goes to charity. Beards-Sapd-officers-good-cause. 

The problem with beards is that some men can grow one and other men cannot, certainly not in thirty days. Although I am pretty sure there are a couple of female officers that could place in the competition, I don’t expect them to enter for obvious reasons. The guy with the spottiest beard who lost to a female officer, in the beard competition, wouldn’t catch half the shit that the female officer will be exposed to.

That is the problem with beards, some people look good and others do not. It seems like the guys that cannot grow a beard are the ones that try the hardest with the least success.  That’s people I guess, I’ve walked into topless bars and seen pretty girls dancing who were absolutely flat chested. How flat chested? If you asked them for a nickles worth of tit, you would be entitled to expect change. I don’t care that a turd has a terrible beard.  I do care that a cop has a bad beard. Some guys can wear them and some can’t.
