The San Antonio Police Department announced the firing of two probationary patrol officers, as a result of an officer involved shooting incident. A suspect in a family disturbance fired a shot gun at officers. Something he will never do again.
SAPD is bucking a nationwide trend. The officers were fired for not shooting. The suspect was shot by a sergeant, twenty-six year veteran. The two fired officers were terminated for not assisting the sergeant.
