Vice President Pence is under fire for using a motorcade on Mackinac Island. Vehicles are not normally allowed on Mackinac Island. Vice President Pence is being criticized because he allowed the Secret Service to do their job.

Motorized vehicles are not allowed on the island. Apparently bicycles were not an acceptable mode of transportation for the Secret Service. Rumor has it Secret Service investigated modes of transportation consistent with Mackinac Island traditions.

The difference between democrats and Republicans is that Republicans defer to the Secret Service in matters of security.
