Fifty-three wetbacks died in the back of an eighteen-wheeler on the south side of San Antonio. The City of San Antonio is planning a memorial commemorating the event. I don’t know if the city is going to have a design competition for the memorial. Just to be safe, I figured I’d get a jump on the competition.
