The first step in identifying a conspiracy is to ignore the facts surrounding an event. Nothing rips the guts out of a conspiracy like Occam’s Razor. For those readers unfamiliar with the concept, I offer the following explanation of the theory.

The problem with Occam’s Razor is that it doesn’t sell newspapers. The alternative is to come up with stories, like the one at the link.

Now doesn’t that make for a more entertaining story. Marginal people leading marginal lives, surrounded by desperation suddenly become victims of murder conspiracies. Who cares about suicides and drug overdoses? There is no money in suicide or OD’s.

Murder, especially murder by shadowy government entities qualify the victim for entry into the Ghetto Lottery. The family may not qualify for the grand prize, a successful lawsuit. A consolation prize, just to go away, is nothing to sneeze at.
