Liberals assured us that legalizing marijuana would end the lawlessness surrounding the trafficking of marijuana. I guess if you want to be generous they miscalculated. The other alternative is that they lied their asses off. California has a law enforcement crisis. It’s not because marijuana growers are occupying remote towns. Nope, it’s because the bastards aren’t paying the licensing fees and taxes. Liberals scum of the earth.

Used to be marijuana growers hid out in the hills. The hid their activity because growing marijuana was illegal. Here is a quick test.
The crooks don’t have to hide any more. I reviewed the California regulations governing marijuana growing operations. The licensing authority has the right to inspect premises, but it is not clear that local law enforcement has the authority to inspect. I suspect that illegal growers are betting that “joe public” can’t differentiate between the two.
Law enforcement is on the horns of a dilemma. One of the marijuana grows pictured is legal. The other is a felony in progress. Illegal marijuana growers have a long history of using guns and booby traps to protect their operations. Growing marijuana is no longer per se illegal under state law.
Added to the mix is that the application, licensing and taxing process is so complex that many growers making an attempt at legitimacy are in violation of state regulations. This means that their right to grow marijuana is not sanctioned and their grows are illegal. How is a cop supposed to know? The promised licensing fees and taxes that are supposed to be generated by legal marijuana operations are nowhere close to what proponents projected. In fact. the push to target illegal marijuana growers is coming from the marijuana industry.
Please, please, please come on earthquake. Millions of Californians dead is a cheap price to pay.
