David Horowitz was raised by two card carrying Communists. He espoused their values up until the mid seventies, until he didn’t. He has been a conservative voice since his awakening. I stole the term. He has published his assessment of the current state of America. First some history then an application to current times. Here is an observation from the article, then the link.

Why do Democrats take such a low road as a matter of course? They do it because it is effective, and because the Democrat Party has a dirty secret to hide. Democrats control 100% of every major inner-city in America, and have for 50 to 100 years.  Every killing field — Detroit, Chicago, Baltimore, St. Louis – is 100% in the hands of the Democrats. Every injustice in these inner cities – real or imagined – that policy can affect, Democrats are 100% responsible for. Every rotten school system, which year in and year out fails to provide mainly black and Hispanic kids with the basic tools they need to succeed is 100% controlled by the Democrat Party and its teacher unions who without exception put the interests of the adults in the system in front of the kids. Including keeping schools closed during the Covid-19 pandemic while demanding more money for themselves.

On 911 Al Qaida flew two aircraft into the World Trade Center and killed 2,606 people. A third plane hit the Pentagon while a forth crashed in Pennsylvania. At the end of the day 2,977 people died. The final number is likely higher due to illnesses caused by the day’s events.

Here’s another number for you in 2019, 2,849 people were murdered in cities controlled by democrat politicians. Many of those cities have been controlled by democrats for generations.

Is there a moral to the story? Al Qaida expended a lot of effort to hit the United States hard; once. They haven’t been able to duplicate the feat. Americans die, day in and day out as murder victims at higher rates in democrat controlled cities. Nobody notices. Since 911, if 2018 stats are any indication, the victims are numbered in the tens of thousands.

Al Qaida may hate the United States but not nearly as much as democrats.
