This Ain’t Kansas

The press was quick to label the Chinese virus as a pandemic. I was skeptical then and even more so now. I suspected that what was really happening was the continuing war on Trump by other means.

The whole exercise was political in nature with the clear goal to undermine Trump and his reelection. It’s Trump’s fault that mass testing wasn’t carried out.

Increased testing is happening now. The MSM will ignore that fact. The MSM will also neglect to report the results of the testing. If one looks hard enough the testing results demonstrate that the Chinese virus is not as virulent as was first claimed.

Here are the results of one such study.

Liars figure and figures lie. Let’s assume, for the sake of argument that 21,2 % of the population of New York City has been infected. Again, for the sake of argument, assume that the number of deaths in New York City attributed to the Chinese virus have not been padded. Do the math and the result is statistically insignificant.

The Daily Caller pointed to a Fox News story.

Dr. Scott Atlas, the former chief of neuroradiology at Stanford University Medical Center and a senior fellow at Stanford’s Hoover Institution, made a Friday night Fox News appearance to defend his viral column about why the ongoing coronavirus panic, and the ensuing government-enforced shutdowns, should end.

Here are the five points that he made arguing against continued isolation.

Fact 1: The overwhelming majority of people do not have any significant risk of dying from COVID-19.

Fact 2: Protecting older, at-risk people eliminates hospital overcrowding.

Fact 3: Vital population immunity is prevented by total isolation policies, prolonging the problem.

Fact 4: People are dying because other medical care is not getting done due to hypothetical projections.

Fact 5: We have a clearly defined population at risk who can be protected with targeted measures.

The former Stanford doctor appeared on Friday night’s edition of “The Story with Martha MacCallum” to discuss his conclusions.

The former Stanford doctor pointed out that 99.2% of those who died had “some underlying condition,” a fact that should be “critical information” for policy makers.

So who gains? Under Trump employment was at an all time high. With the stay at home edicts unemployment is rising. Straight out the democratic playbook, Trump caused all time high unemployment. The reason is unimportant.

The economy is booming. There’s that stay at home order again. Must be Trump’s fault.

People are dying! Trump’s to blame.

This whole pandemic thing seems to be an exercise designed to make people buy off on all sorts of stupid stuff. It is almost like an exercise to condition the populace. All of it leading up to dropping the ultimate idiocy on the public and getting acceptance without thinking.

When did the Wizard of Oz become a blueprint for political change?
