Richard Hernandez woke up one day and decided that he was actually a mythical transsexual dragon lady  from a video game.  He then set out to address these aberrant thoughts through plastic surgery, Transsexual Picture of Mental Health. 

Joseph Merrick was severely disfigured due to disease.  He was found as a freak show attraction and not considered to be human.  He eventually overcame some aspects of his deformity by demonstrating his humanity and intelligence.
