A birth person in Massachusetts killed her three kids. She is on trial in Plymouth. Normally, I wouldn’t resort to euphemisms, but I’ll make an exception in this case. I’m not sure that she qualifies for motherhood. The defendant and her defense team blame post-partum depression. I blame Gov Healey.

The problem is that Gov. Healey could have prevented charges from ever being filed in this case. Massachusetts recently passed a revised abortion law. The new law allows for abortion right up until birth. Question: What if the doctor fumbles the handoff during a delivery and the baby falls on its head and dies. Is that an oops or an abortion? But I digress.

This whole trial thing could have been prevented if the Governor hadn’t compromised and adopted half measures during the drafting of the new law.
It should have been written to allow abortion up until the time the child qualifies for a voter registration card. This would be a win-win for democrats. Everybody knows the dead votes a straight democratic ticket.
As one pundit pondered: if she was charged with strangling a puppy would the jury be out this long?
