Just Released!

No, not on bail or parole. My latest novel “What Goes Around Comes Around” is now available on Amazon. It is the fourth book in the series describing the activities of the investigators assigned to the UNIT.

Give it a read. Help keep a broke down old narc in cheap whiskey. Some of the events in the book may have happened. I was assigned to just such a task force for fifteen years. Other events are nothing more than the machinations of a twisted mind. It is up to the reader to decide which is which.

It has been twenty years since I retired. Most of the time, I regard the task force days as a positive experience. There was an occasional dark side. It’s all behind me. Now, when I wake up at two in the morning it is not because of regrets or what might have beens. It is to trip to the bathroom. Yeah, that’s it. I’m no longer pissed at the Pogues, time servers, liars and backstabbers that lurk in the bowels of police stations. They no longer visit me in the late nights.

What does it say about modern law enforcement? Cops, standing in the stack, waiting to go through a door, knowing that the occupants are armed holds no terror for the operators on the sharp end. The real dread begins when those same cops walk into the police station and have to confront treachery and deceit that is beyond the imagination of most felons.

This is the fourth book in the series. I didn’t consciously intend to wind up here. A former partner, (cop not lifestyle) pointed out that this book represents the logical conclusion. Intended or not, this book had to come about.

Maybe so, it is not the end. The UNIT and its investigators will survive and prosper.
