How can a person tell if they are a liberal or have liberal tendencies? This story illustrates liberal thought. If you can’t see the inherent conflict in this story, you might be a liberal.

Iguanas are an invasive species in Florida. A great deal of time and money is devoted to stalking and killing the animals. Here is a photo of intrepid hunters posed over their kill.

A cold front moved into Florida. One by-product of the freeze was that iguanas being reptiles couldn’t handle the cold. Over 2000 dropped from trees, stunned by the cold. Seems like a simple thing, finish the job that mother nature started and then off to the landfill. Nope. Liberals.

Liberals gathered up the poor critters that nobody wanted and nursed them back to health. I guess it’s the same impulse that causes liberals to protect another invasive species, wetbacks.

Being a liberal is holding two diametrically opposed positions and failing to see the conflict.

That reminds me of an incident that happened in one city. This was years ago. People complained that their neighborhood was inundated with stray dogs. Animal control responded and determined that there were two problems. There were a bunch of strays. Secondly, the strays were faster and more agile than the animal control officers sent to capture them.

One of the animal control officers hit on a solution. Why chase the dogs when, with the right incentive the dogs would come to them. The intrepid officers implemented their plan. They staked out a bitch in heat. Pretty soon every male stray in the area showed up. The boys never had a chance. The animal control officers declared victory.

Unfortunately, a victory isn’t complete unless it is shared. Somebody had to brag and explain the secret to their success. The shit hit the fan. How dare they? Unfair! Editorials were written. Condemnation was almost universal.

Texas has a law that makes it an offense to hunt over a baited field. That is putting out bait to lure game birds into range.

Given liberal think it would seem that every 7-11 robber, car thief and rapist would have an automatic defense. “He, she or it trapped me by being such an attractive target.”

No matter how much you despise a liberal …. it is not enough.
